Why I chose Days for Girls

I spent time as a child living in India where I saw how poverty impacted women and girls. Later, as an Aid Worker living in northern Thailand, I saw in the Karen refugee community how lack of sanitary items impacted girls ability to engage in education when they had their period.

I believe...

When we educate and empower girls and women, we really do change the world.

A few years ago, I was invited by friends to participate in a sewing session to make cloth sanitary pads for Days for Girls. My friends and I showed up with our sewing machines to a local community hall and we learnt how to cut and sew the pads.

I use cloth pads for myself. I used to use diva cup prior to the birth of my second child. But due to damage due to childbirth, I can no longer use a cup. As I enter the next phase of my life – perimenopause – I am committed to helping other women and girls have access to period products that work for them.

I appreciate how your purchasing my beloved TeaBliss products also supports girls around the world.
